About my collection...
My name's Laura, I live in England, and am known around the internet by my username laurakitazawa. ;u;;
I began collecting from a very early age, growing up with a love for Pokémon. As the demand for Pokémon gradually died out in this country, coming across merch became a rare occurance and I have since resorted to middleman and deputy services - as well as the more obvious online shopping websites - to expand my collection. I played the Pokémon games since I was able to hold a console (my favourites being Fire Red and HeartGold) and collected the TCG from around the age of 10 up to present. I have mountains of other pieces of random Pokémon, but my collection now focuses on Helioptile/Heliolisk, Umbreon, and to a lesser extent, Charizard.

What made you collect those Pokémon?
When Helioptile's art was released, what we saw was a puppy-lizard creature with a new type cobination of normal/electric. As more information and pictures were leaked, including the open frills making its head look like a sweet wrapper, I was sold on it. Later on, Heliolisk was announced and I adored its design - with the resemblance to dilophosaurus and its fictitious frill - reptiles and dinosaurs being a love of mine from an early age, there was finally a full evolution line that I adored. I'm not collecting every piece of these two that becomes available, but they're definitely the main point of my collection.
Umbreon was my first favourite Pokémon, it's from my favourite generation too! Johto has always had the best map and best games for me, and Umbreon is iconic in that way - it is alongside the introduction of a new type, night and day times (24-hour clock), happiness levels, and the second set of many Eeveelutions to come. Eeveelutions are incredibly popular items and so I don't have high hopes of achieving a large collection of it, rather I'm just getting my favourite pieces where possible. Umbreon and the Heliolisk line also display together perfectly, because all of the colours match - including the shinies!
Charizard has always been an important part of my team on the games, its draconic features combined with its typing altogether make it a classic Pokémon with a high level of appeal to me. I like fantasy other than Pokémon and dragons are a huge win! There's so much (mostly rare) merchandise of this popular dragon that I'm in no way out to collect all of it and he's going to stay as a side collection for now.

Any other interests?
My other main interest is my pets, I'm passionate about animals and often name my Pokémon team members after them. Currently I have Paarthurnax the bearded dragon, Honey the 'golden collie' rescue dog and Friski the lionhead rabbit. Check them out in the slideshow below!
I'm also a passionate crafter and love to make art! I'd love to have an art-based career in the future, and I work mainly with paints/traditional drawings and clay. Clay is one of my specialties; I make small clay charms, mainly of Pokémon, with the name of Cinnabar Pokémart. I often take commissions and have a Facebook page for my work under the same title. If you're interested in commissioning me let me know!
